Nuwara Eliya district leader and former Minister of the United National Party, Navin Dissanayake, says that the United National Party has never said no for elections.

Navin Dissanayake who pointed out that the first duty of the President is to eliminate the hunger of the people emphasized that the President should be given at least six more months to stabilize the country after which the election can be held.

Navin Dissanayake points out that what is prevailing today is a game played by President Ranil Wickramasinghe with his political maturity and even though there are many problems, the country has reached a better place than it was six months ago.

Navin Dissanayake further emphasized that the country's official foreign reserves have reached two billion US dollars by now which remained at a negative level by the time President Ranil Wickremesinghe took over the country.
